The European Individual Chess Championship kicked off in Dresden. We failed to get full information on the outcome of the first tour regardless of the fact that the championship is held in Germany. This is striking as the matter refers to a European Championship and not to an ordinary school contest.

Nevertheless, Artashes Minasyan, Rafael Vahanyan, Tigran L. Petrosyan, Elina Danielyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan, enjoyed victory among the Armenian chess players whereas Karen Asryan was beaten. No detail was passed about the other 6 chess players.
