SAMVEL PETROSYAN RESIGNED
Support A1+!Today Samvel Petrosyan, principal coach of 'Pyunik' and RA champion resigned. 'Pyunik' press secretary Vahan Danielyan informed 'A1+' about this sudden resignation. At present Petrosyan’s deputy Vardan Minasyan temporarily takes over the main coach.
In 2006, “Pyunik” under Samvel Petrosyan’s supervision did its best and became RA champion. Yet “Sheriff” beat “Pyunik” at the first phase of Champion League.
At the current RA championship “Pyunik” played at best. During the semi-finals between “Ararat” – “Pyunik” the latter lost the matches. This might have been the reason for the coach to resign.
In fact, Petrosyan is also RA National Youth team Principal Coach. To remind, Armenian juniors are going to participate in “Euro-2009” elimination games. Therefore the coach would probably like to spend more time on the preparation of the upcoming try–out matches.
