CHAMPION VERSUS CUP-HOLDER
Support A1+!Armenian Champion “Pyunik” will compete with Cup-Holder “Banants” for the Armenian Super Cup. The meeting is scheduled for May 27, 2007, at “Republican” sports ground.
The Super Cup tournament is designated to the memory of the renowned football veteran Hakob Tonoyan. Tonoyan had great contribution to the Armenian football and Ararat’s success during the Soviet period.
To remind, the two teams competed for the Super Cup in 2004 as well. “Pyunik” won over “Banants” due to Karen Alexanyan’s goal scored during the additional time. It is noteworthy that “Pyunik” has been participating in the Super Cup meetings for six years.
