The “Sevan” International Chess Tournament is coming to an end. Grand Master Bartholomew Macey, Poland, and Grand Master Yuri Vovk, Ukraine, share the 1st and 2nd places respectively after the seventh round.

Armenian GMs Tigran Petrosyan, Arman Pashikyan and Indian G. Gopal share the 3rd to 5th places with 4 points. I the seventh round Pashikyan beat Georgian David Haruyunyan with black chess pieces and Petrosyan tied with Hrant Melkumyan. Outsiders Avetik Grigoryan and Tigran Kotanjanyan tied the meeting. Obviously, they had arranged to tie the meeting beforehand.
