“DERRY CITY” CHEATED “PYUNIK”

Sports

A1+ interviewed Pyunik's chief coach Armen Gyulbudaghyants on the Derry City-Pyunik meeting scheduled for July 17 within the framework of the Championships League.

Mr Gyulbudaghyants, what can you say about the the preparations for the meeting?

Just after the match with “Kilika” we began trainings for the upcoming Derry City-Pyunik meeting. The trainings are held twice a day. Everything is quite normal. Only Hamlet Mkhitaryan won't participate at the match as he hasn't fully recovered.

Won't Mkhitaryan take part in the answer match either?

Doctors are doing their best. Let's wait and hope.

What is your opinion about Pyunik's opponent?

According to the preliminary arrangement the sides were to exchange videotapes. We have already sent our copies. But we haven't got theirs, as according to the team, they have faced some problems. We surf in the Internet to find more information about the team.

A new coach has been appointed to the team. Our rival took the second place in the previous Irish Championship. As you know the champion team broke up because of financial problems and was replaced by Derry City. They invited new goal keepers. Their last meeting was cancelled because of heavy rain.

Currently, Derry City takes the 7th place in the Irish Championship. Can we say that the team has weakened?

We are unaware of the reasons for their withdrawal. Anyway, European teams are determined, they are armed with patience, filled with enthusiasm and a will to win.

Do you anticipate victory?

Surely, I do. The victory will serve a stimulus for Pyunik to participate in the upcoming Portugal championship in high spirits.
