Eight chess players are participating at the final round of the World Chess Championship held in Mexico City.

Armenian Grand Master Levon Aronyan tied with Alexander Morozevich at the first tour. The meetings Vladimir Kramnik-Peter Swidler, Vishvanatan Anand-Boris Gelfand, Alexander Grishchuk-Peter Leko also ended in a draw.

At the second round Aronyan will compete with the current championship favorite Vishvanatan Anand, Kramnik with Morozovich, Gelfand with Grishchuk and Swidler with Leko.
