AMOYAN WILL BE THE FIRST TO DEMONSTRATE HIS ABILITIES
Support A1+!The Armenian national wrestling team will leave for Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on September 15 to participate at the World Wrestling Championship.
The team is headed by the chief coach Levon Julfalakyan and is comprised of the following wrestlers – Roman Amoyan (55 kg, Champion of Europe in 2006), Khosrov Melikyan (60kg), Arman Adikyan (66 kg), Arsen Julfalakyan (74 kg), Dernis Forov (84 kg), Arman Geghamyan (96 kg) and Yury Patrikeev (120 kg).
Greco-Roman style wrestling will be followed by heavyweight and free-style wrestling. The athletes taking the first eight places will participate at the Olympic Games due in Beijing in 2008.
