ARMENIA STANDS A GOOD CHANCE
Support A1+!European Football Championship try-outs under 19 have kicked off in Lithuania. The Armenian football team headed by chief coach Armen Gyulbudaghiants, tied with the Lithuanian team 2:2.
Armenia’s next rival will be San Marino. In case the team wins, Armenia will participate at the next tour meetings.
SHIRAK WON OVER GANDZASAR
Two meetings were held within the 25th tour of the Armenian Football Championship. Outsider Kilikia competed with Ulisses at “Hrazdan” Stadium. As it was supposed Ulisses beat Kilikia 2:1.
Shirak (Gyumri) won over Gandzasar (Kapan) 2:1. Ararat Harutinian and Ervand Hakobian stood out among the Shirak players.
KARAMIAN’S VICTORY
Romanian Polytechnic’s half-back Artavazd Karamian scored two goals within the framework of the Romanian Football Championship. Polytechnic won over its rival 4:1.
UTTER DEFEAT
The International Chess Tournament drew to an end in Holland. The Armenian Champion under 20 Zaven Andreasian was defeated at six rounds. He twice lost to Azeri Mammadyarov, Ukrainian Ponomarov and Dutch Van Velly. Mammadyarov became the leader of the tournament with 4.5 points.
