Armenian chess player Avetik Grigorian has gained 6.5 points and moved on to the second place at the World Junior Chess Championship held in the Turkish city Antalia.

18-year-old Grigorian played a tie at the 8th tour.

Hovik Hairapetian takes the 8th place with 6 points while Hrant Melkonian - the 14th in the group under 18.

Robert Hovhannissian, 16, took the 6th place with 6 points and David Gevorgian gained 5.5 points.

14-year-old Samvel Ter-Sahakian played a draw and took the seventh place with 6 points.

World Champion under 12 Robert Aghasarian was beaten at the 7th and 8th tours and slipped back to the 29th place.
