The World Junior Chess Championship ended in the Turkish city of Antalia. Eighteen Armenians participated in the championship.

14-year-old Samvel Ter-Sahakian won a medal among the Armenian sportsmen. He took the 6-th place in the group under 14.

World chess champion under 12 Robert Aghasarian took the 31st place with 6 points.

Vice champions of the previous championship Hrant Melkumian and Hovik Hairapetian took the 15-16th places with 7 points each.

Robert Hovhannissian took the 12th place and David Gevorgian the 42nd in the competition under 16.
