Support A1+!Leading footballers of “Banants” Samvel Melkonian and Ararat Arakelian will henceforth play in “Metalurg,” Donentsk, although some German clubs have taken interest in the Armenian sportsmen.
“Metalurg” has slipped back to the 13th place in the current championship of the Ukraine. Once the team ranked among the best four groups. Presently the team is owned by Oleg Mkrtchian.
“Metalurg” is trained by Sergey Yashenko. A number of Armenian footballers, among them Banants’ commander Eghshe Melikian and former goal keeper Dmitri Vorobyov have played in the club.
To note, Ararat Arakelian and Samvel Melkonian are currently training in the Armenian national team.
