The group tournaments for the champions’ league are over and all 16 participants of the 1/8 final are known. In the last 6th tournament, the teams decided who places where in the play-offs.

E group

“Manchester United”-“Olborg” 2:2

“Celtic”-“Villareal” 2:0

“Manchester United” wasn’t able to win “Olborg”, but that didn’t stand in the way of the “red devils” to win. “Villareal” came in 2nd, “Olborg” placed 3rd and got the right to move on to the UEFA cup play-offs, which is good for the Danish team.

“Lion”-“Bavaria” 2:3

“Stiaua”-“Fiorentina” 0:1

“Bavaria” won in this group. The players from Munich headed the top of the list with 14 points and lost no game. Yurgen Klinsman’s players beat “Lion” in the last tournament. Despite the loss, France’s champion will continue the struggle in the 1/8 final, while the Italian “Fiorentina” got the right to play in the UEFA cup.

G group

“Arsenal” has not had any problems in the group tournaments for a long time now and these play-offs were no exception. Although the London players ceded to “Portu” in the last tournament, they had secured their spot in the play-offs. “Portu” headed the list with its victory in the last tournament and moved on to the next round along with the English group. Kiev’s “Dinamo”, which won Turkey’s Fenerbakhche” 1:0, will participate in the UEFA cup play-offs. “Fenerbakhche” played rather well, but this time the team lost. H group

“Juventus”-BATE 0:0

Juande Ramos’s managed to become chief trainer of “Real”. The leading team scored three goals in the with “Zenith” from St. Petersburg. “Juventus” wasn’t able to win BATE.
