“Two hundred people can skate in the ring and it corresponds to all international standards,” said Matosyan.
The field is foreseen mainly for winter sports. “It is foreseen for figure skating and hockey. But other shows can be organized here as well. The ring may be used for any event, even a series of Olympic Games. The ring will be used year-round and will only stop functioning for 2-3 days every four months for prophylactic work.”
As for the soon to-be-opened figure skating school named after Yevgeni Plyushchenko, Karen Matosyan said that there are still some issues.
On December 27-28, Yevgeni Plyushchenko and Hungarian composer Edvin Martoni will present the “Golden Ice of Stradivarius” show at the sport/concert complex. It has been showing since 2007 in CIS countries with audiences in more than 35 cities.
