Aronyan starts Linares tournament with a tie

The Super GM Chess 2009 kicked off in Spanish city Linares. The tournament features leading chess players all over the world.

Armenian GM Levon Aronyan played a tie with Norwegian Magnus Carlsen. The games Peres Dominges-Alexandre Grishchuk and Wang Yue-Vassily Ivanchuk also ended in a draw. World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand (India) won over Teimour Radjabov (Azerbaijan). Today Aronyan is due to play with the leader of the fixture list Viswanathan Anand.
