Advising residents to go to the laboratory
Why were gas prices high in January? "ArmRusGazard" representative has an answer to citizens' complaints.
"Citizens are surprised to see the end of subsidization. If citizens notice the difference between payments for heating during this winter and last winter, that is mainly due to the fact that the government no longer provides subsidies," said press speaker for the company Shushan Sardaryan.
Citizens are complaining complain about last month's payments and not the payments made last January. In response to that, Shushan Sardaryan said:
"If there are people who complain, they should appeal to the company's branches because that is a fixed price and I am sure that there can not be any interference. The price shown on the meter is registered and the payment is made."
Resident of Avan Narine told "A1+" that she paid 21,000 drams for gas in December and 31,000 in January regardless of the fact that she hasn't been in the house for nearly half a month. Resident of Byureghavan Zaruhi said that she paid 23,000 drams in December and 35,000 drams in January, but she had used less gas during that month.
With regard to rumors claiming that the large indications on the gas meter are possibly due to air flowing in the tubes, Shushan Sardaryan said:
"I can honestly tell you that such rumors are absurd and we are not planning to comment on that. As for the quality of gas, there are different laboratories where residents may check the gas. We conduct check-ups each month because we also care about the quality of gas and I think that the residents may also conduct a laboratory experiment. But the airflow is impossible because that would put the system in danger."
