The coach congratulates their rival
The chief coach of the Armenian football team and Yerevan's Pyunik, Vardan Minasyan thinks Armenian football has a brilliant future. The young specialist drew the conclusion after the Banants-Pyunik match at the Armenian Cup Finals.
At the head of Vardan Minasyan, Pyunik beat Banants 1:0.
"The meeting was worth watching. Both teams featured footballers from different teams and I am glad that the outcome was noteworthy," noted Mr. Minasyan.
Pyunik had a few chances to kick a goal but the team missed all of them. In this regard, Vardan Minasyan said: "During the meeting our players were sober and punctual. But I have said many times that Pyunik needs to recruit new footballers including forwards."
The chief coach of Yerevan's Banants, Armen Gyulbudaghyants, isn't displeased with the team's defeat as Banants has already secured its place in the Euro Cup games. "The struggle was really tense as the teams were competing for the first leading place."
Armen Gyulbudaghyants is especially pleased with the team's goalkeeper Stepan Ghazaryan. "Stepan played excellently. Yet, it doesn't mean that we must refuse the services of Ukrainian Oleg Ostapenko as we need a second goalkeeper."
