Aronian equals the leader
Armenian GM Levon Aronian defeated Alexei Shirov in the 3rd round of "Grand Slam" chess tournament in Bilbao. Playing black Aronian gained 6 points and equaled tournament leader Alexander Grischuk who had lost to Sergey Karjakin.
After the three rounds the standings are as follows: Levon Aronian-6 points, Alexander Grischuk-6, Sergey Karjakin-4 and Alexei Shirov-1.
