Andranik Hakobyan breaks through to semifinals
Only 1 out of 3 Armenian boxers, Andranik Hakobyan, (75kg), made it to Milan World Championship semifinals, having beaten Victor Kotyuzhanskiy of Moldova 8:1.
Armenian boxer Hovhannes Danielyan, (48kg), the European champion of 2008, dropped out of the tournament after losing to Serdamba Purevdorju of Mongolia 4:6.
Another Armenian boxer Azat Hovhannesyan, (57kg), was defeated by Oscar Valdes of Mexico 14:9.
The semifinals will take place on September 11. Tomorrow Andranik Hakobyan is to compete with Alfonso Blanco of Venezuela.
