One of the bus stops of Yerevan's Moscovian Street, near Yerevan's Chamber House, stands abandoned and tumbledown - the windows are broken and the tiles stripped. Even Yerevan's map stuck on the bus stop has disappeared.

The State budget has earmarked 4.5 mln drams to renovate and furnish some 300 bus stops in the capital for the past three years. But new bus stops are robbed after being refitted.

"The country has spent millions of drams on the renovation. We must be consistent, fine and punish the robbers. On the other hand, the country cannot put a policeman at each bus stop. We should preserve everything created for us," said a future economist.

"After the deadly clashes of March 1-2, the authorities blamed the demonstrators for breaking and robbing bus stops, shops and vehicles. Don't they see what is going on in Yerevan streets today? Why don't they file actions against robbers?" says Grandfather Artyusha, a resident of Kentron district.

Head of public relations department of the Armenian Police, Mushegh Kroyan, says they have received no written complaints on recent robberies; hence, the Police have filed no actions.
