Pyunik becomes champion

After winning 3-1 at Shirak in the penultimate 27th round of the Armenian Football Championship, Yerevan's Pyunik clinched its ninth consecutive Armenian title. With 62 points, Pyunik took a four-point lead over second-placed FC Mika. Yerevan's Ulis ranked the third after beating Banants.

Pyunik will represent Armenia in the 2010 Champions League, and Mika and Ulis - in the European League.
