Citizens say that the inflation of products is due to the inconsistent activities of the Armenian government.

Recently, prices for products kept rising one after another. "A1+" conducted a survey to find out what impact the inflation has had on their family budgets and what the government had to do to not increase prices.

Pensioner Anna Avetisyan, 70, told us that she has no money left after taking care of her communal expenses. According to her, the government has to at least increase pensions and resist the inflation through levers.

Accountant Marine Gasparyan said that she barely makes ends meet with the 40,000 drams salary that she receives. According to her, the inflation only benefits businessmen who want to go from being millionaires to billionaires.

"The government wants to make the local prices correspond to the international prices, but they are leaving our salaries and living standards at the level of disadvantaged countries."

Economist Anush Krachyan says that profits have gone down due to inflation. "People have started counting everything and buying only the most necessary items. They spend money mainly on clothes or food. There is no money for vacation at all," she said, emphasizing that in any case, the government must think about the people like the heads of families.

After the inflation, lawyer Henry Mangasaryan has more expenses to take care of.

"We are buying things for different prices than we did a year ago. The government must ensure stability and must precise its monetary policy," he says.

Businessman Sargis Lalayan spends almost half of his pension on communal expenses. "I don't know how, but they can surely do something to get out of this situation, if they want to. I am thankful for at least being healthy," he says, smiling.
