Results of the vote are visible
Data collected by the Civic Development and Partnership Foundation show that one of the National Assembly deputies was reelected, although he had only been present at the National Assembly six times during the previous convention.
The foundation today organized the presentation of the new websites for results of the National Assembly vote and the Resource Center for Defense of Interests.
"The online database shedding light on the results of the vote gives users such as mass media and organizations involved in defense of interests to see how NA deputies vote, who participates in the National Assembly sessions and how they vote or assist this or that initiative," director of the Civic Development and Partnership Foundation Zhirayr Edilyan told "A1+".
According to him, the data are simply statistical information without any commentary. After the vote, the website will immediately show the results taken from the National Assembly's website.
"This is our initiative and we have started working on it since 2006. The fact of the matter is that when different organizations involved in defense of interests tried to work with this or that party, they had problems because they didn't have any information that would allow them to say that the given party assists in the solution to a certain type of issues," said Zhirayr Edilyan.
Is there an analysis on how the deputies speak and how they vote? In response, Edilyan said: "When we tried to synthesize the data from the previous National Assembly, it turned out that there were two deputies who had not participated in any of the sessions. That was interesting. There were small and medium business groups that wanted to see the positions of the parties on issues concerning development of small and medium businesses. They received the information, read it and were able to determine how to work with the given parties."
