Families received no money
Family members of the "Yak-40" plane crew, who died in a 2001 air accident over northern Iran, are going to submit their protest to Armenian Parliament, Larissa Hovhannisyan, the widow of a perished crew member, told A+.
Let's remind that the widows took their protest before the Government Building in December 2009 drawing the executive body's attention to their problem. The women demand that the financial compensation that they had been receiving and which stopped in 2007, be continued.
We have addressed letters to Serzh Sargsyan and Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan but our letters have been forwarded to the Civil Aviation which didn't satisfy our demand," said Larissa Hovhannisyan.
The plane was owned by Armenian Airlines Company which was announced bankrupt in 2004. The company was bound to pay the salaries of the dead pilots to their families for ten years but it failed to meet its obligations.
The families rely on Armenian parliamentarians to address the problem.
