Armenian director Arthur Mikaelyan's animation "Drunken Hens" is being screened in St. Petersburg these days.

The film will be introduced to public this year within the framework of Golden Apricot International Film Festival.

This is the second film of the young director. Arthur Mikaelyan shot his first film "Double Advertisement" during the years of study.

""Drunken Hens" is based on real facts. Everyone who hears the story says he has experienced the same in his life but in reality I portrayed an incident that happened to Mher Mkrtchyan in Goris," says the director.

The hens get drunk after drinking a few drops of vodka. Their owners, a grandfather and grandmother, pluck the hens and throw them into a gorge thinking that the hens are dead. After coming to themselves, "naked" hens return home a few hours later.

The director is currently working on a new musical featuring show-business celebrities and pop singers.
