Doctor committed suicide
Two civil funeral rites were held in Yerevan's Davitashen District yesterday evening.
According to Armenian Police, at 11:55, January 26, Davitashen's citizen Vardan Hakobyan, 53, was reported dead in his apartment. Vardan Hakobyan was found in the armchair with a gunshot in his chest. Hakobyan was a member of the Armenian Union of Hunters. The fowling piece he had committed suicide with was registered.
Vardan Hakobyan worked in the Armenian Medical Centre, in the Department of Surgery. The doctor had been dismissed from work according to his application a few months before.
Preliminary investigation is in process.
Another death was reported in the same building later in the day. A middle-aged man got suffocated while making khash (Armenian national dish) with his friend.
