Temperature will continue dropping
Snow was falling in most settlements of Armenia today morning, reports RA Ministry of Transport and Communication.
Snowfall is reported in Kapan, Gavar, Martuni, Aparan, severe wind in Meghri, Stepanavan and blizzard in Vayk-Sisian.
In the morning the roads leading to Ararat, Eghegnadzor, Kapan, Goris, Sisian, Talin, Maralik, Gyumri, Artik, Aragats, Martuni Sevan, Dilijan and Ijevan were covered with glaze ice.
The Ministry of Agriculture will estimate the harm done to orchards tomorrow morning. The ministry is still collecting information from marzes on the results of frostbite.
Zaruhi Petrosyan, head of the operative hydro-met center at Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations says the temperature will continue dropping reaching -7 on the night of March 20 and -3 on March 21.
Gardeners are advised to smoke flowering trees.
