"We have got enough signatures to take legal action against recent advance in gas price. We have collected more than five thousand signatures," Armenia's ex Prime Minister, representative of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Hrant Bagratyan told A1+.

Though Mr. Bagratyan does not instill great hopes in the judicial system since "courts serve the interests of special groups," he considers this to be a right and unprecedented decision.

HAK office will file a claim in compliance with the law: after the decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission is put into effect, i.e. after April 7.
Natural gas price for Armenia's consumers will be raised by 37.5% starting from April 1.

Individual consumers will have to pay 132 drams instead of current 96 per cubic meter of gas.

For the enterprises, consuming over 10 000 cubic meter of gas a month the rate will be $243.13 per 1 000 cubic meters instead of present $215.
