Yerevan Municipality allocated 340mln drams
About 340 million drams will be allocated from Yerevan budget to Yerevan Djur (Water) company to compensate the difference in water price from July 8 to December 31.
"The subsidy covers all water consumers, including the most vulnerable ones," reads municipality statement.
The Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia (PSRC) had by a recent decision approved the proposal by Yerevan Djur company on raising the water price up to 195 AMD per cubic meter instead of the previous 181 AMD from July 8.
But the Yerevan City Hall has decided to subsidize the water price for 14 AMD, which means that individual citizens will pay the current price - 181 AMD.
