Poultry factories fined for beating down egg price
The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia (the Commission) has imposed a fine of five poultry factories in the amount of AMD 500,000 each for not fixing the keeping time on eggs.
The Commission ruled that it may be considered as an expression of unconscious competition and an act to mislead consumers. Zangap, Yerevan Poultry Factory, Lusakert Poultry Factory, Arzni Poultry Farm and Araks are among the fined companies.
The Commission conducted a study to reveal the reasons for the decrease in egg price.
