Conference "Forgotten People” held in Stockholm
August 20-25, Swedish capital Stockholm hosted the 6th Worldwide Conference of the International Prison Chaplains' Association (IPCA).
The theme of the conference was "Forgotten People". The event, organized by the IPCA and Swedish government, brought together 320 chaplains from all over the world. The conference focused on issues relating to prisoners' spiritual upbringing and education, prisoners' rights and the freedom of religion in prisons.
With the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, priests Karapet Glchyan and Shavarsh Simonyan represented Armenia in the conference.
