No bicycle lanes are foreseen to be built in Yerevan in the nearest future since there is no demand for them in the capital, head of Yerevan Municipality's department of transport Armen Adamyan told A1+. Besides, there are few cyclists in Armenia.

Cyclists, in their turn, complain of drivers' attitude saying it is merely impossible to ride along Yerevan streets.

"Even if they build bicycle lanes, they will hardly reduce the risk of collisions. All we need is to change drivers' attitude towards cyclists though I already notice certain changes," said cyclist Samvel Hovhannisyan.

Note that every Friday cyclists give free lessons to beginners in the park near Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial.
