“Misleading” ice-cream
The recent check-ups in a number of retail outlets revealed that many products lacked the required marks on packaging. In particular, certain types of ice-cream produced by Tamara, Yerevan Kat, Asa, Armsweet companies did not bear date of packaging.
The Commission for Protection of Economic Competition considered it an attempt to mislead consumers and create unfair competition. The Commission imposed a fine of AMD 500 000 on the companies and suspended their license to produce these items for 20 days.
