Contradictory conclusion
According to a conclusion of the forensic medicine expert examination of the body of contractual soldier Artak Nazaryan who died in one of the military units of Tavush region on July 27, the 30-year old officer who was said to have committed suicide, "received injuries in the living days as well".
According to the conclusion, Nazaryan "died from a sharp brain disorder due to a penetrating gunshot to the head".
In addition, Nazarian also received injuries in his living days ("6 hours before his death"), particularly in his lower jaw and right arm, which, according to the expert, "are not linked to the cause of the death". There were also hemorrhages, scratches that caused "by sharp objects a little before his death".
Advocate of Nazaryan's family Seda Safaryan stated that the conclusion is full of serious discrepancies and raises many questions that remain unanswered. They are preparing to present additional interpellations.
The lawyer set aside the part of the conclusion stating that Artak Nazaryan's tongue was injured ("a hole caused by the gunshot"). -"I can't accept a situation where he raised his tongue, placed the muzzle and then pulled the trigger [when committing suicide]. If he didn't raise his tongue, he placed the muzzle into his throat. These are different situations and there should not have been a hole on his tongue."
Artak Nazaryan's relatives have announced several times that they don't believe in the official version. The soldier's family claims that either Artak Nazaryan was provoked to commit suicide or he was killed.
