Announcement by the press divan of the "People's TV" Foundation
"A "People's TV" Foundation has been created in Armenia with the major purpose of helping "A1+" TV get back on air, as well as creating and broadcasting non-profit television programs of public significance.
The "People's TV" Foundation has a board of trustees composed of 9 members, including Boris Navasardyan, Karen Janibekyan, Karine Khodikyan, Nune Sargsyan, Tigran Ter-Yesayan, Aram Abrahamyan, Artur Sakunts, Larisa Alaverdyan and Levon Barseghyan.
The board of trustees will soon release its action plan to raise public awareness of the initiative, organize a fundraiser to reaffirm the public demand for reopening "A1+" TV in Armenia and the Diaspora, take actions to make the activities of the National Commission on Television and Radio serve public interests and more.
Citizens, unions and organizations will be able to deposit their sums in the Trust's account and those sums will be used to reinforce "A1+" TV's participation in the tender and create people's television programs. The "People's TV" Foundation will consider all donations as a solid vote for the reopening of the television station.
