Bear attacked soldier
Doctors of the traumatology division at the medical center in Kapan say soldier Tigran Ghambaryan, 35, is already in satisfactory condition after being torn to pieces by a bear. On October 15, before going to work, Tigran entered a corn field to collect silos. He had no doubts because he had never seen any beasts in that area.
"When I saw the stalks on the ground, I thought it was because of the animals and suddenly a bear attacked me. Perhaps he was sleeping," says Tigran. He doesn't remember whether he was scared or tried to save himself. He tried to fight with the bear and said it lasted ten to twelve minutes, otherwise the bear would have eaten him. According to head of the traumatology division, there is no more danger, but the patient must be under supervision.
"The bear chewed his left hand and caused many wounds. The bear also hurt his left hip and there are open wounds there," says the doctor. Tigran Ghambaryan feels well now and even jokes that he has fought with a bear, even if it was a small bear and only for a couple of seconds.
