Protest didn’t continue
The ill prisoners' protest at the "Prisoners' Hospital" penitentiary has been suspended, press speaker for the Penitentiary Department at the RA Ministry of Justice Arsen Babayan told "A1+". According to him, the prisoners were explained their rights, obligations and demands of the law, after which the protest was quickly suspended.
Let us remind that the prisoners participating in the protest were patients infected with AIDS and they were demanding either their release or treatment. They had also informed presses that 3-4 people die a month. Today Arsen Babayan told "A1+" that no prisoner infected with AIDS has died at the cells in the past 2 years.
The protest didn't continue today.
