Internet as a means of terrorism?
Addressing cyber security issues will be the theme of an OSCE-supported two-day workshop to start on December 8 in Yerevan.
The event organized by the OSCE Action against Terrorism Unit jointly with the OSCE Office in Yerevan will bring together representatives from relevant government bodies, non-governmental and international organizations. The participants at the event will discuss ways to strengthen cyber-security in a comprehensive manner, look at the impact of terrorist use of the Internet, cyber crime and threats to critical infrastructure - including the economic impact - of potential attacks and highlight potential countermeasures, legal frameworks, and relevant international best practices.
Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, Ambassador Sergey Kapinos, a representative from the OSCE Action against Terrorism Unit Dimitar Jalnev RA Deputy Chief of Police Arthur Osikyan and Secretary of the RA National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan will make opening speeches at the event.
