Wings of Tatev to operate two days a week
The Wings of Tatev - the world's longest aerial tramway - has shifted to winter regime of operation. Due to unfavorable weather conditions in Syunik, the cableway will work at weekends, the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia (NCFA) reports.
The decision was prompted by severe climate and decrease in tourist inflow.
Tigran Ghazaryan, the Manager of Wings of Tatev says tourists mainly visit them on Saturday and Sunday though the cableway can operate on weekdays as well.
Wings of Tatev is a 5.7 km cableway between Halidzor and the Tatev monastery in Armenia. It is the longest reversible aerial tramway built in October 2010.
