"Inflation is advantageous to Armenian authorities"
The density of 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia has reduced by 0,7% , according to economist Hrant Bagratyan.
The index gives rise to major concern as this is a serious threat for Armenia. It means that ordinary people are "filling the gap" of the state budget. Great companies continue strengthening, curtailing budget payments.
Speaking about the rise in prices, Mr. Bagratyan noted that inflation totaled 10.6% in January 2011, with foodstuff prices increasing by 17%.
"Inflated prices are advantageous to the country though the constitution forbids implementing the budget in this way," said the economist dismissing the statements that the advance in prices is determined by price hike at international markets.
"The authorities will continue to increase prices in 2011 to execute the budget. They are unable to boost the country's economy," he concluded.
