Charity exhibition-sale devoted to Women’s Month
It is already the second year Armenian Young Women's Association is organizing a charity exhibition-sale devoted to the Women's Month, which will take place on March 6 in "Armenia Marriott" hotel.
President of the association Lilit Asatryan is certain that the event will become a good tradition in the country and will encourage women's involvement in different spheres.
"We need to develop small and medium-sized enterprises in the country which are the basis of a healthy economy. We highly appreciate women's engagement in the sphere of economy. They can initiate their own business with corresponding knowledge. We also want to boost domestic production," said Lilit Asatryan.
The proceeds of the exhibition-sale will go to the implementation of programs aimed at increasing women's role and participation in economy.
The association will organize training for young women so that they can later apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the lessons in their work. Participants will be chosen by a commission taking into account their abilities and skills.
"Reduction of unemployment is our first and foremost aim," said Lilit Asatryan
"Not all people can become engaged in business. They need to have special skills and talent," she added.
The exhibition-sale is held under the slogan "Through Women and For Women."
