No explosive found in Yerevan State University
No explosive has been found in Yerevan State University.
At about 1:15 p.m. the police received an alarm about a bomb planted in the Faculty of Chemistry. Officers of the Armenian National Security Service, Emergency Situations Ministry and Rescue Service arrived at the site shortly afterwards. Searching operations continued for an hour and a half.
"Lectures were suspended in the university shortly after receiving the alarm. Students and professors were immediately evacuated. Fortunately, no bomb was found inside the building," said Musegh Ghazaryan, a senior representative of the Armenian Rescue Service.
Law enforcers are searching for the anonymous caller.
