Catholicos expressed gratitude
His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the delegation headed by Head of Administration of the Russian President Sergey Narishkin at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Accompanying the delegation were Head of Administration of the RA President Karen Karapetyan and the ambassadors of both countries.
His Holiness viewed the visit of Narishkin and the Russian delegation to the Mother See as an expression of the centuries-old fraternity and warm friendship between both peoples.
During the meeting, His Holiness expressed gratitude to the Russian authorities for their efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the generosity toward the Russian-Armenian community. In the end, the Supreme Patriarch gave his Patriarchal blessing to the delegates headed by Narishkin and wished that God keep them strong and progressive and maintain the friendship between both nations.
