The turmoil over Milano store, one of the oldest and most expensive boutiques in Yerevan, continues. Court of Civil Appeals adjourned on Wednesday the hearing into the appeal of Hovhannes Ghukasyan, owner of "Milano" trade hall and director of "Olympus" cooperative, due to the absence of Judge Stepan Mikayelyan.

Ghukasyan is contesting the February 18, 2011, decision of a Yerevan court which declared the territory of the trade hall on 4 Abovyan Street as a "zone of prevailing public interest."

The boutique closed in March, 2010, after representatives of the Service for Compulsory Execution of Judicial Acts alienated the whole property of the first floor of the three-storied trading hall. Avo Ltd was declared to be the new owner of the boutique.

To date, "Olympus" has received no penny for the alienated territory. Ghakasyan argues that the 88 million AMD proposed as compensation was not transferred to his account.

He has already filed an action with the European Court of Human Rights in an attempt to get adequate compensation.
