The Armenian translation of Swiss missionary Jacob Kuntzler's book entitled "In a Land of Blood and Tears" is now available.

The book portrays the events that took place in Urfa during WWI. The author is an eyewitness of the events, which makes this book even more valuable for those studying the episodes of the Armenian Genocide.

After arriving in Urfa in 1899, Kuntzler started working as an assistant to Swiss doctor Herman Krist at the German Mission East hospital. During the years of WWI, he was the only one who was able to show medical assistance to the people living in Urfa and the surrounding residencies.

Jacob Kuntzler and his wife Elizabeth were able to save many Armenians who were facing death.

The book is envisaged for historians, oriental studies experts, as well as readers at large.
"In a Land of Blood and Tears" was translated into Armenian by the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
