March to be held in Yerevan on Sunday
Every year, the whole world marks the day of remembrance of AIDS victims on the third Sunday of May.
This year on May 15, the Armenian Red Cross will organize a march of remembrance with the participation of Armenian Red Cross volunteers from Yerevan and the provinces.
The march will start from the Armenian Red Cross main office at 20:30. The Municipality of Yerevan has permitted the march from Paronyan Street to Mashtots Avenue, Amiryan Street, Republic Square, Abovyan Street, Northern Avenue, Tumanyan Street and Komitas State Conservatory.

Sarukhanyan told "A1+" that the march will end with the lighting of candles of remembrance at the park near the Conservatory. There will also be a classical music concert after the march.
The participants of the march also call on showing tolerance toward those infected with HIV.
According to official data, from 1988 to 30 April 2011, Armenia has registered 1,040 HIV cases of which 505 have turned into AIDS. In this period, 242 Armenians have died from AIDS.
The majority of cases of infection were among men. Out of the infected, 747 were males, 293 were females and 22 were children. They undergo treatment through government funding.
