Narek Sargsyan appointed Yerevan Chief Architect
Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan today introduced the newly appointed Chief Architect of Yerevan, Narek Sargsyan.
"I positively assess our cooperation with former chief architect Mikael Hasratyan who was relieved of his duties according to his application. I do not exclude that Hasratyan may continue to work in the system if he wants," Karen Karapetyan said.
Mikael Hasratyan tendered his resignation earlier in May after allegedly expressing discontent with some projects underway in Yerevan. Hasratyan assumed the office in January 2011. His candidature was put forward by Armenia's chief architect Narek Sargsyan.
