Outflow of Azat, Arpa and Yeghegis
The outflow of Azat River flooded the lands for cultivation of Burastan village in Ararat province. According to a press release by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the outflow also flooded the fondations of the "Dangsi" auto service building located on the riverside.
A communal bridge in Lanjazat village collapsed and 3,000 square meters of land was flooded. In Deghdzut village, nearly 70 meters of the road and nearly 400 square meters of land are flooded.
According to the MES, the outflow of Yeghegis River damaged nearly 40 meters of the drinking water pipeline in Hermon village, flooded the lands for cultivation (nearly 3,000 square meters, destroyed the field bridge (nearly 3 meters) and made the road leading to Yeghegis, Hermon, Goghtanik, Vardahovit, Artabuynk and Horbategh villages impassable.
In the same province, the outflow of Arpa River damaged the 30m section near the 118th kilometer of Yerevan-Meghri highway, flooded 15 lands in Arpi village and 2 hectares of land, while the outflow of Martuni River in Geghhovit village of Gegharkunik province left the two-sided walls protecting the river destroyed (nearly 30m).
The heads of the corresponding regional councils have been informed of the incidents.
