Aragats village head candidate Gagik Melkonyan has protested the results of the village head elections to the Administrative Court.

The court will announce its verdict tomorrow, after which it will be clear as to whether there will be new elections or not.

Village head candidate Gagik Melkonyan told "A1+" that there were too many discrepancies and that the incumbent village head Gagik Poghosyan simply couldn't have been reelected.

"I will restore justice," said the village head candidate. The latter still claims that the elections were held through threats and falsifications.

The village head elections were held on May 22. According to information provided by the Central Electoral Commission, the incumbent village head Gagik Poghosyan received 863 votes and Gagik Melkonyan received 806, meaning that the incumbent village head received 57 more votes.
