Very few citizens are aware that the metro token prices will go up from 50 to 100 drams starting July 1 and most of them found out about this from "A1+"'s cameramen.

"I knew about the inflation, but I didn't know how much," said passenger Sergey Harutyunyan.

Many citizens were filled with indignation.

"It is bad that the people have grown accustomed to all this. Perhaps they are adapting because everything is being done slowly," said one passenger.

Gayane said she would join everyone who would raise their voices against this.

"Why are they raising the price? Are they raising the salaries as fast as they raising prices for everything? They have to think about the people as well," said Gayane.

Citizens are rest assured that the municipality's decision will hit the pockets of a certain level of society.

"The socially disadvantaged take the metro and their situation will worsen after the inflation. They are barely getting by," said Vardan Manukyan.

Even ticket sellers weren't aware of the inflation starting on July 1. What should the people who have already purchased a large number of tokens do? In response, press secretary of "Karen Demirchyan" Metro Ninel Vardanyan told "A1+" that she wasn't able to answer that question, but assured that all issues would be solved.
