Petition with 4053 signatures sent to Armenian Premier
A petition calling for the return of murals by Armenian artist Minas Avetisyan has been sent to Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
By a government decision, four frescos of the prominent artist were transferred to the capital. The decision immediately aroused discontent among Gyumri citizens who launched a collection of signatures with a demand to return the frescos to Avetisyan's hometown.
The petition initiated by Shirak Centre NGO has been signed by 4,053 citizens of Gyumri.
The petition is open for more signatures.
